Amazing? I'm thinking YES!

Saturday, February 23, 2013

So, my DH and I have been talking about what to do for holidays this year. We want something different, where we will be challenged physically, learn about an area and its people, and generally have fun.

We seem to be settling on biking the Confederation Trail in Prince Edward Island. Easy enough (I think) for me to train this summer to do the trip in September. Now, just to make it more interesting, as I'm checking around for info, I discover that there are over 1600 geo cache sites along the 400 km of the trail (including offshoots of the trail). Now, geo caching is something else we've become interested in (me more than him, I think), so this would add another level of interest and learning for us.

Of course, we need to get equipment (GPS, camera!!!) and train (biking), but WOW, it would blow my mind if I can manage this after everything that has gone on with my health.

Crossing my fingers and doing more research!

That sounds really great! What a great motivator! Preparing for a goal like that is a great way to get in shape...I think. The geo caching sounds like a really nice add-on. Keep up the good work! Thanks for the encouragement! Spark on! emoticon emoticon

That sounds like fun. I've read about geo caching but have never done it. There are even sites out here in the wilds of WV.
I bet it is going to be a beautiful place to train. Enjoy!
