My plan to switch up my exercise to fool (challenge) my body

For the past 5 weeks I have been exercising 2 days of strength training, and 5-7 days of walking.

I will switch one day of walking to biking for a change.

I have been doing one day of intervals for only 5 minutes (walk/jogging at the beach, in the sand). I will increase that to 2 days and increase the number of repetitions of the 15 seconds jogging and then 60 seconds walking from 5 times to 6 or more times , depending on energy levels.

Hope these small changes help. If not, I can make more drastic changes by consulting the Sparkpeople exercise demos.

    Let me tell you what I have been doing for the past 6 months and you can decide if it is something you are interested in trying. I have changed my activity choices every week for the past 6 months and what I mean by that is the following. I do cardio every day in small intervals of 10-20 minutes per session. I change use the following and I do not use more than 1 a day for the first few days of the week. I walk, jog, jump rope ,ride my bike, and dance for 10-20 minutes for the first few minutes I am up every day. Some time during the day I walk stairs at work or somewhere I can get several flights at a time, we have 2 buildings that have 4 floors and then a fifth flight that gets to the roof. I will go from top to bottom for 20 minutes without stopping. Then for the final 20 minutes of cardio sometime during the Day I walk very quickly as if I want to jog but will not allow myself to actually jog. I use either a SP video or I have a few others that I strength train with. Monday and Thursday are arms, Tues and Friday are legs, Wednesday and Saturday are core and sunday I rest from both cardio and strength training. my body get so confused that I am able to lose weight and have fun being active.
If you like this idea you are welcome to try it out.
I make no promises but i know if i keep my body guessing the weight seems to keep stable or come off.

    Sounds like you're getting good exercise no matter what.

    It is great choice to change things around including exercises. I have change myself lots of exercise and also planning. It do help a lot. I wish you good luck on your new plan
