Bun Be Gone!!!

Saturday, February 23, 2013

I had to kick that grandma bun to the curb! lol

It was time to say goodbye to the bun and make things easier. I am so glad that I did. I didn't like the short look at first but figured it would grow out and maybe I would be happy with it after a few days. I really like it now and am SO glad that I got it cut.

I have decided that this is the first step in my getting a fresh look at the new me. I needed to make a change in my look to start getting the picture.

Getting our hair done or buying a new outfit goes a long way to making us feel good and motivating us to keep going. I needed that in a big way.

Now it is time to get my head in the game and et back to business. I have lots of work to do and NOW is the time to get to it.

I took a couple days to relax after getting home so now I can get back on my routine and move forward. Tomorrow is going to be my planning day. I am going to make my plan (set my GOALS) for March.

I have some books that I plan to read. I am going to continue with the changes in my eating and add some new things to my exercise routine.

I am looking forward to seeing some success on the journey!

Good for you! We should all be giving our selves rewards along the way. I love socks, expensive wool socks, so I buy a few pairs and put them away and earn one pair for each pound lost (which comes out to about a pair every two weeks). I've also got my eye on a new pillow for the bed....but these silly inexpensive things keep me on track!

Keep moving forward!

I like the head band and I agree with Steph-knee about the flower ones. I also like the color. Btw, do you remember that we put my receipt on the kids table? Maybe they were looking at that. Or, you can pretend. I'm very happy to see a new vlog from you. I just completed day one of my vegan streak. I've got a lot of food cooked for the next few days. I made black bean sloppy joes only to find that I ate all my buns. (not the grandma kind) emoticon

Love the hair! I wish I looked good in short hair, but I don't. Plus I've put in a lot of years getting it long, lol. Glad you are doing well-I'm not even THINKING about my March goals yet emoticon

Have a wonderful Sunday!

emoticon Your hair does look better and you do look younger. that was a great decision to make the change. I got my hair cut short when I started do so much exercises. It is so much easier to deal with.
It was so great to see you and know you are OK. I am still working on my Feb. goals. Wow! I can't think too much about March right now. That great you are starting now.

Well, I will looking for you soon.

Hugs, Judy

I know just what you mean about a problem it can get to be with trying to see all your relatives and friends in one trip! I'm originally from Seattle, so have relatives mainly there and all over WA and OR and with me in MN, over the years, we've tried to get a family get-together going, even on both sides of the family and that has worked wonderful, several times! We've all decided that we don't want to get together just at funerals! So there are ways that work, it's just takes alot of planning and that can work too. I'm so glad that you could see your OR family! That is a boost in the arm, isn't it?! Good luck to you!!

Three cheers for easy hair!! I was so done by the end of last summer sweating from hair- had it clipped into what you see now (on videos). Hope you feel good soon, you sound like I did at the start of my cold last week. Anyway- I've got you on my radar now and will keep up with your videos (thanks!)

I LOVE your hair!! Of course, I have hair that is literally as straight as a straight pin, and as fine as baby's hair. I've always wanted curly hair, and when I was younger, had it permed a few times. Enjoy your new, easier "do"!

Senior citizen...well, you are a nana, but that's no reason to look like one. The color looks nice. But did you know that there are a TON of discounts available to people as young as 50 at a wide variety of places? I figure, I'll take advantage of the offers if I can!

Good luck with your planning for the month of March!

It's great to change it up regularly ... Although I tend to add a little jewelry or floral piece to my grandma bun. I confess, I thought you were doing a new kickin' butt routine at first. (Smile, smile). Welcome home, beautiful. Stay strong in your focus to reach your goals and rewards.

You look great! Isn't it wonderful to change something and then know it's a change for real? Marking a new step into the right direction. Redefine who you are to yourself. I am so glad you are on my Traveler Team!!! You inspire me. So let's kick some butt together!!! emoticon

I have too many thoughts, bullet point time... emoticon Me and Sparky ;)

emoticon So excited to see your beautiful face!

emoticon Hot stuff, I love this short natural look on you. I know what you mean about the long hair when all we do is put it up to get it out of the way LOL.

emoticon I'd love to see you rock one of those super cute headband with the little flowers or other little ornaments on them. Okay, is that just me? Is it cuz I'm 12? I don't know, no pressure but I think it'd look cute. ;)

emoticon It is SO hard to try and fit everyone in when you have so many different spots to try and visit. I think time also flies on vacation and so you think "oh well I have x amount of days, there will be plenty of time" and next thing you know it's gone by in a blur and you haven't done all you wanted to. It happens and I hope everyone was able to understand that.

emoticon Sorry to hear you got sick, glad to see you are feeling better too. I am also glad you took some days to relax once you got home. As fun as traveling is it is exhausting, eek!

emoticon Those gray hairs can wreak havoc on youngins like yourself, it's not your fault at all. I am glad you colored it just cuz I think that is an extra pep in your step. Hubby likes it cause you look hot btw, just sayin. ;)

emoticon I look forward to seeing your March goals when you are ready to share. This year is flying by already, but we got 10 more months to rock the heck out of 2013 and I know we are going to do it! emoticon

emoticon I agree the new hair our new outfit can sort of symbolize what we are going through, and it's a major life change. This is the road to a new Susan, okay, only slightly new, don't lose too much of the old you because I quite like ya. emoticon
