What a crap week!

Friday, February 22, 2013

I just found out one of my dogs puppies died in a house fire tonight. The owners came home and their house was smoldering and Milo was inside emoticon My husband and I have his mom and dad and sister, so sad. I try to keep in touch with everyone who got my pups and ughhh i guess sometimes it's better not to know. He had a really nice home and lived a nice life and had two little boys who really loved him.

Husband has been stressed about his job all week and talking about it nonstop. Stressing me out, making me eat everything in sight. I didn't exercise this week like I should have, excuses excuses. I have been watching treadmills on craigslist, i thought buying a used one might be easier but not so much. So now I am looking at 400 dollar price range new. Scott gets home so late from work to go run outside and when I have kids I would like to have a treadmill in the house as a fall back. Or now with crappy weather, would be nice to run at night. I think I am ready to get one. Any opinions on the subject, brands you like or dislike?

I gotta get my eating under control! No if ands or buts about it. Eat better Julie!!!! I did shovel for over an hr today. But then ate Mexican out and negated the whole endeavor.

That is so sad, Julie! You and Milo's other family must be devastated. emoticon

I bought a cheap treadmill from Walmart many years ago and it still works great. We have never had any problems with it.

For some reason I thought Scott liked his job. I can understand how you feel about the second hand stress. It becomes contagious.

I love Mexican food. I'm lucky I don't have access to it much.

I'm sorry about Milo; you're right, you're better off not knowing sometimes! :(

I just wanted to share what worked for me when my kids were little, as far as working out goes. The gym I was at had child care, and I would use that sometimes. Other times, I would take kids with me in a bike trailer (now THAT'S a workout!). I also had a $400 treadmill, and that thing was great. I would get on that thing during my kids' naptime, or else I would do an exercise video. Eventually, I started doing the 5am workouts because Dan wasn't up for work yet and everyone else was still asleep, so when I went to work out, no one even missed me! And that's what works for me now. No worries though, you will find what works for you because you are committed. I honestly don't remember what brand my treadmill was, but I do think you're better off finding a new one. You never know what you'll get from someone else! Also you'll be able to get the features you want. The HR monitors on $400 treadmills are crap, so just wear your monitor when you use it.

My eating was bad yesterday too!!!! I shoveled, and then gave myself license to eat the rest of the day! I'm reining it in today, no excuses. You with me? :)
