Thoughts

Friday, February 22, 2013

Last night we had freezing rain, sleet, rain, and snow. Lots of wind. This morning as I was taking my son to school, I had a thought. The ice and stuff was melting and falling off of the branches and pine trees, I wondered, Do our bodies sigh with relief? Like you can almost hear the trees do, after a storm? Think about it for a second. If you have lost 20 pounds and fill a back pack with stuff, and try to pack it around, does it make you more tired? Does it feel heavier than that to you? Do you say ahhhh? when you take it off? Does your body silently do that? Have you ever tried to pay attention to see if you could hear the relief your body is giving you at losing those unwanted pounds?
This is just something to think about.

Great question! I know that the answer for me was yes when I lost 20 pounds :)

You make a few good points. I know, for me personally, looking in the mirror and seeing the results from what I have done makes me sigh with relief. I have a lot of unwanted pounds to lose. It's been hard but so far it's been worth it.
