No, I didn't take the day off from exercising but I realized that just continuing to pound on the treadmill was probably not the smartest of moves. Most running programs recommend no more than two days in a row and I'd already done three so I decided to take today to do something different. I have a Leslie Sansone walking dvd that I had yet to actually use so I thought I'd give it a go since I know many people like her. I did the Muscle Mile One and then also the Pilates instead of doing Tony's 10min Yoga. I wasn't thrilled with the walk. It was overly repetitive and tedious and just boring. I thought I was going to fall asleep while walking except her voice and perky attitude annoyed me just enough to keep me awake. I seriously contemplated not even bothering with the Pilates but figured I should stick with my plan and give it a try and was pleasantly surprised at how soothing and relaxing that was. It still worked my muscles and I'm sure I'll be feeling it later but I didn't find her nearly as annoying. I'm undecided at this point if I will try any of the other walks on that dvd but thanks to the Pilates, I'm not getting rid of it just yet.
On the food front, yesterday was much better. Yes, I went over my range but only by 9 cal. Sodium was an issue but I'm not sure if it was as big an issue as the tracker says since I used canned equivalents to homemade things that we didn't add much salt to but still, it's something I need to work more on. Otherwise, everything was good and in ranges so I'm happy that the food is starting to fall into place. I know I need to keep a close eye on it tho as it is too easy for me to slide off my plan.
