This week has been a test of wills. A close family member of mine was in a car accident and I've gotten pretty sick (sinus infection spreading to the chest). During this time, I debated on more than one occasion, to just 'eat whatever' and deal with exercising later....but I didn't...
I kept to my exercise program (granted, it was at a gentler pace due to being sick) and ate healthy foods. I made sure I had a good breakfast every morning (either scrambled eggs or Whole Grain Cream of Wheat) and brought my lunch to work. I'm very proud of this because in the past, I would have fallen off the ban wagon.
I also finally began my 'weight loss journey' scrapbook that I meant to begin a while ago, but never got around to. This tool has been a complete lifesaver this week. I'll definitely be posting pictures this weekend. While putting the pieces of each page together, it allowed me some 'quiet time' to reflect on what it is that I'm trying to accomplish. I refocused on my goals for next September (climbing Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park) and amped my motivation.
Today, I plan on completing my vacation request for the trip in September to solidify my goals and add to my motivation to keep up with these lifestyle changes.
