Too much exercise

How much is too much exercise. I work out 5 days a week and do 5-6 classes a week. Today and yesterday my joints were so sore I am in my 40s after all. I did my body pump class yesterday. Added a walk the dog day in this week instead of a class because My achilles hurt. Do not want to eliminate exercise because I feel wonderful just have to find my stride. Some of my classes at the gym are taught by very young 20 year olds who do not pay attention to everyones exercise levels so I think I overdid it with plyo work mainly burpees and mountain climbers. Will eliminate these next time.

    Yes, it is possible to workout too much...your body needs a break to "recover" every now and then...but sounds like you took the cues and backed off a little bit...just keep listening to your body so that you don't injure yourself!!!!

    Sorry you hurt!! ((Hugs)) are you stretching before and after? That helps a great deal . You can do Split workouts and occasionally full body workouts- it sounds like you did a full body workout, which is awesome by the way:) Glad you listening to your body. emoticon

    Mountain climbers and body weight exercises of such nature are truly challenging, but soooo effective!! Kudos to you for fitting those in emoticon
