WW Week One is History

After looking at the scale last month and realizing that I have gained what I had worked so hard to lose - I succumbed to the last resort to lose weight. I joined Weight Watchers. WW had helped my mom and sister lose weight in the past but I always said NO to joining. I always convinced myself that I knew how to eat and didn't need to go weekly to hear some women talk about their "Success Stories" and get weighed in. Well, I joined last week and in one week on WW I lost 4 whopping pounds! I am ecstatic! I actually committed myself to going weekly and getting weighed and sticking around for the meeting afterward. I have learned MANY things in only 2 sessions about how to snack correctly and learned tricks about portion sizes. My only regret is that it's taken so long for me to join! I love the fact that I must be held accountable for stepping on that dreaded scale! I am allotted a certain number of Points each day and I must stick to those Point values...which I have faithfully! The coolest thing about WW is the app that is available on smart phones. It is awesome! I enter in all of my food/drink intake on this app and it is really cool! It also has a calculator which can give me the # of Points in any given food item. It even has a barcode scanner which I use when I do my grocery shopping which gives out the Points in any given item! Really amazing!
I just had to write a quick blog about this journey that I am on and I just hope that I keep up with my tracking and losing the weight!
