Its not often I can say I have had a good week but this week has been. Its been the first week ever that I have gone without eating anything sugary. No cakes, biscuits, icecreams, no chocolate bars or anything at all. I decided to give it a go on Monday and see how far I went, and now I am up to Friday so that is a whole working week with no sugar
I am really proud of myself and actually feeling really good. I have heard people talk about giving up sugar and how after a few days its easy and I never believed them but its true. After a few bad cravings on Tuesday I feel fine now, I have a few treats in the presses but I have no desire to try them. I have been using sugar free gum to chew on when the craving gets bad and it works.
My husband told me to approach it the same way I quit smoking and he's right, by focusing on one day at a time its a lot easier.
Now I have to admit I am not totally sugar free
I do think some treats in moderation are fine and I'm going to treat myself on Sunday to a few scoops of ice cream but I'm confident that will be all it will be and I won't go overboard.
Its made a big difference to how I feel physically this week so I'm hoping it has a big impact on my weight loss
