Morning sunshine!

Friday, February 22, 2013

I was out like a light last night, and didn't wake up once! Only problem is I didn't sleep as long as I would have liked; I ended up going to bed at 2:30 and only slept 6 hours, but I'm determined to be in bed before midnight tonight! I had one dream that was very strange, that I was kind of in Skyrim but to escape the tower I had to convince people I was a lesbian :-s very odd! Not a nightmare or anything, just strange.

Woke up feeling cheerful and pretty refreshed (which is interesting since it's glum and gloomy outside; usually this has the opposite effect on me!) and got up, brushed my teeth (a habit I'm getting into is whenever I'm in the bathroom, I brush without toothpaste...this doesn't take as much time or leave the taste in my mouth that I hate, but seems to be having a really good effect) and washed my face, and had a good laugh at my hair; it's getting longer, but for some reason seems to have just sort of gone straight out during the night; I look a bit like the snake lady from Rammsteins "Engel" video!

I'm thinking more about health and my appearance, not just about weight-loss but overall health. For instance, I've always wanted better looking arms and legs. They've always been all pale and spotty and covered in blemishes, so I've determined that at least once or twice a week I'm going to try and do a moisturize/exfoliate routine with them. Nothing complicated, just using an exfoliating glove to rub in some aqueous cream. Did it last night and if nothing else my legs certainly feel better!

So, the thing I'm thankful for today is the good sense to know how to budget shop! I'd be in deep, deep trouble without that! Something I love about myself is my awesome hair; I had a real laugh at it!

My household tasks for today are to work out what I want to make in the coming week and buy the stuff for it. I'm pretty lucky in that all I really need to get is mostly bread and condiments, and some more fruit and milk; I have cheese, pasta, rice, couscous, and a fair number of veggies already. I'd like to get some food bags and portion pots, but I don't know if I can do that today and may have to wait a few weeks until I have some more money. The second thing I plan to do today is hang up the load of laundry in the washing machine, strip my bed, and put a new load on. The third is to put away all the laundry I have out in my bedroom and do a general pick-up of the house. Since I'm gonna be working most of the day, I'm not gonna do too much around the house today. But if I can do these three things, I'll be happy; anything extra is great, but not absolutely necessary :-D

Anyways, off I go to face the day. TTFN everyone!

My hair is naturally very wavy, and short. As it's growing out (it's now jaw length) it gets...funny, lol. Not long enough to weigh itself down, not short enough to tame....

BlueEyedBetty; you have beautiful hair :-)

Lmao, great post! I too have great hair in the AM. It cracks me and my friends up regularly. My husband calls me Mufasa and does the little hyena shake when I wake up. For the longest time I hated it. I have an afro that could compete with Diana Ross in the morning. I have grown to love it. . . . It is my freak flag and I like to let it fly lol
