Sooo.... today I was doing my WATP video. I was feeling pretty good about myself, so I told myself I would try to do all 4 miles, which I haven't done before. I usually do mile 1 and 4 (both 15 minute miles, mile 4 with a resistance band), occassionally I'll do mile 3 also (12 minute mile). I was all psyched up to do all 4 this time!!
Well, I was just a bit into mile 2, and doing double side steps at a pretty fast pace, when my 3 year old (who was sitting on the floor behind me and to the side a bit) decided that she wanted to reach forward and pet the cat, who was walking in front of me. Boom, I tripped over her and went flying, and landed HARD on my right knee. I made sure my daughter was ok (she was fine, just a bit shook up for a couple minutes) and then I sat there maybe 3 - 4 minutes until the pain subsided a bit and I was sure I hadn't done some serious damage. Then I got up, rewound my dvd to the point where I fell, and continued on to finish my full 4 miles! Whoo hoo!
But now anyway, this afternoon/evening my knee is really sore/tender and I'm limping pretty good and it's stiffened up a bit. I'm still pretty sure I just bunged it up good and didn't do any horrible damage, but I have a feeling it will be sore for a while. Good thing tomorrow is a super busy day for me so I was planning on taking a rest day from working out anyway. I think I'll just ice it when I can and take it easy.
