Taking it easy...

I only walked 8.4 miles today, and did a little light ST at home. That means that today doesn't count as a "rest day", but I did take it easier, so I will call it an active recovery day. I haven't decided if I will go to the gym tomorrow. I want to, but I have company coming in the early afternoon, so I would need to get my day started earlier, and I am not certain that will happen. lol I am definitely NOT a morning person.

I am going to make an effort to take Saturday and Sunday as actual rest days this week. I didn't manage it last weekend, so I will try again this weekend.

I am off to snuggle with the dog and start a new book. My favorite way to spend a cold, Winter's evening.

You walk 8.4 miles. I walk 10 minutes. Ia it sort of the same? LOL You are a walking machine. I can't wait till I get to where you are. Baby steps for me.

    Making soup is one of my favorite winter activities. Good luck persuading yourself to rest. How far you've come since being a shut-in! I'm so proud of you!

    Learning to listen to your body and to pay attention to it when it says it needs a rest, is one of the toughest things for people to learn. Keep up the good work and the good intentions will become reality!
