The scale doesn't dictate success

Thursday, February 21, 2013

A spark friend recently reached out and got me out of a slump. I'm so grateful for all of the new connections I've made here. Her challenge to me was to follow my program and track but not weigh myself until March 1.

It's killing me. But it's a great eye-opener. I was allowing the scale to dictate how I felt about myself and was measuring my "success" by the numbers on the scale.

Getting back on track I immediately started feeling better physically and emotionally. My head is clear and I'm headed in the right direction. Can't wait to feel this great again tomorrow!

Thanks to all my sp friends for pushing me along!

What a great thought! And what a blessing to each of us are the people who see some things that we don't. Your SparkFriend is a winner - as are YOU for being willing to try something else. What's the saying, "If you only continue to do what you did, you'll only continue to get what you got..." or something like that? Whatever works - I'm tickled for you to have found an energizer. I'll remember this advice (I HOPE - if not, will you please remind me?) - thank you for sharing it!

Good for you. Isn't oit interesting what games we play with our minds? We really have to watch our thoughts....they Can be against us!They sometimes group themselves together and really kick us hard...just goes to show we CANNOT trust ourselves! emoticon And if we pay to much attention to THOSE negative thoughts we end up in a ditch! emoticon We are not going to do that ARE WE! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Your doing great! The scale is not our friend and it will lie to us, try measuring often so the next time your scale shows nothing you want to see use your measuring tape, you may be happily surprised!
