Twenty Down

In 2008, I weighed 175 lbs. I'm a tall, busty woman, so my doctor wasn't too worried about me and my weight. I was okay with it and actually liked the way I looked. I was happy. I was active.

Then I started dating someone and we started eating out a lot. Next thing I know, early 2009, I was standing over my desk at work when the pants I was wearing suddenly split up the backside! I was horrified! So, I ran to Kohls (which by the way opens at 8am) and unfortunately learned that I gained enough weight to jump, not one, but two sizes up. I had not been on a scale in several months, so when I did I weighed in at 210 lbs.

I quickly joined the local LA Fitness and quickly dropped to 202 lbs, but then I got sick and just as quickly gained it all back. By the time I returned to SparkPeople, I weighed 212 lbs. I joined the 8 Week Battles and got close to ONEderland by getting back to 202. Unfortunately, I lost motivation and quickly gained over 26 lbs.

Here I am, 4 years later and I'm finally inching back toward my starting weight here on SparkPeople. 218. I haven't seen that in 2 years. I'm eating healthy. I working out regularly. I'm feeling healthy. I still have 40 lbs to go til I'm back where I was in 2008, but I'm happy to get that first 20 lbs off.
