I have been inspired by several other sparkers, as well as myself, to do a 1 month eat clean / insanity challenge.
I have always loved working out - I am a gym rat. I love being active. But, as the saying goes, you can NOT out run a bad diet. Trust me, I've tried.
So I challenge myself, and I know you all will help me, to a one month clean eating challenge - to retrain my body, to reward it with ACTUAL food, not processed crap. It is time I learned to give the same effort and dedication that I do to my workouts to my diet, as they compliment each other after all.
Starting next Sunday, the day after my brother's wedding, I will "officially" (I'm already trying to eat clean/low carb now to prepare for the wedding) begin this Paleo/Insanity challenge. The diet part is simple...well...simple to explain. I will eat clean. I like the paleo diet, as it is lower in carbs. The second part will be bringing back Insanity. I used Insanity over the summer, and I am anxious to get back to the high intensity interval training and see what new results it brings.
FINALLY, there is a third part of the challenge. I will blog. Daily. That's right. Everyday. It may be my meal plan for the day, how my workout went..it may be me cussing and complaining and looking for motivation ... it may be me happy and proud. But I will blog. Everyday.
So wish me luck. I WANT to do this. My body deserves it. And honestly, I am excited. If I follow the plan, my body and mind will have no choice but to transform in wonderful ways.
