Paleo Eat Clean & Insanity 1 Month Challenge

I have been inspired by several other sparkers, as well as myself, to do a 1 month eat clean / insanity challenge.

I have always loved working out - I am a gym rat. I love being active. But, as the saying goes, you can NOT out run a bad diet. Trust me, I've tried.

So I challenge myself, and I know you all will help me, to a one month clean eating challenge - to retrain my body, to reward it with ACTUAL food, not processed crap. It is time I learned to give the same effort and dedication that I do to my workouts to my diet, as they compliment each other after all.

Starting next Sunday, the day after my brother's wedding, I will "officially" (I'm already trying to eat clean/low carb now to prepare for the wedding) begin this Paleo/Insanity challenge. The diet part is simple...well...simple to explain. I will eat clean. I like the paleo diet, as it is lower in carbs. The second part will be bringing back Insanity. I used Insanity over the summer, and I am anxious to get back to the high intensity interval training and see what new results it brings.

FINALLY, there is a third part of the challenge. I will blog. Daily. That's right. Everyday. It may be my meal plan for the day, how my workout went..it may be me cussing and complaining and looking for motivation ... it may be me happy and proud. But I will blog. Everyday.

So wish me luck. I WANT to do this. My body deserves it. And honestly, I am excited. If I follow the plan, my body and mind will have no choice but to transform in wonderful ways.

    you have an awesome attitude and give you credit i did p90x not bad for an over 50 girl with a pacemaker and bad eyesight but i cannot fathom insanity you go girl that and clean eating and you will transform no questions love this idea and look forward to your blogs.

    I LOVE this plan! I am also totally with you on this! Insanity is a challenge, as you know, but I always felt amazing after I finished a workout, the pool of sweat on the ground a true marker of the accomplishment! It's a great way to shed fat, too, with all the HIIT and plyometric training (my favorite, seriously!); it revs your metabolism and tells your body to hang on to all that muscle you're building and burn fat instead! And you're right, after all that hard work... why are we punishing our bodies with crappy food choices and over-eating (in my case, at least)? Let's put in the good fuel and let our bodies REWARD us instead with results... and growing strength... and confidence!

    emoticon emoticon I love your eating clean Paleo Challenge! I definitely want to join you in that! Not the Insanity part though. I'm not insane. emoticon I was doing so well, with my eating and fell off the healthy wagon, and need to get back up. Paleo is a fabulous way to go!

You will totally see results keeping it clean a whole month especially paleo! Good plan to follow. So with you girl! My "clean" streak started Monday. And today is day 2 of staying "in range" as well. I have not tracked regularly for almost a year now and even when I did I never spent much time actually sticking to any range so this will be the main challenge for me right now. But I know I can do it and I know it is what I need to do to get rid of this stubborn layer on my body that is keeping me from feeling good in my clothes.

I am with you! We can do this!!! emoticon
