Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming....

Went to the pool today! Felt good but man did I feel uncoordinated. Haha. I haven't swam laps in like 6 years, minimum. Gonna take a bit to get back into it. I also forgot how much of an all over body work out it is. My whole body is sore from yesterdays workout, especially my upper body. It does feel good though. Maybe I'll get lucky and my strength will come back quickly.

I do need to start fueling my body accordingly though. I need to make sure I'm getting enough food and especially protein. This may sound silly but I'm not too concerned about getting my layer of fat off anytime soon. In fact I might be ok with it sticking around until bootcamp, I might be grateful for it, that my body has a little extra to feed off of. lol. I think tomorrow I will make some deviled eggs, to get some extra protein in for snacks at least. I might start adding some of my protein powder to some milk before I hit the gym. I have noticed that I have cut out quite a bit of refined carbs. In terms of regular diet I really don't do that much for pastas and breads. I need to revamp my pancake recipe with wheat flour and adding some protien powder to them. Time to start divulging in protein snacks. :)

The swimming was kinda intimidating though. To do 9 laps in 14 mins is gonna be rough I think, though I didn't time myself today nor pay attention to how many laps I got through. It feels good to be challenging my body. It's time to start bringing all my knowledge together and applying it.
