215 days and running

Thursday, February 21, 2013

I have been on SP for about 10 months now. After an initial adjustment period, I have been pretty consistent about logging in and logging exercise (even if I am not as consistent about logging food). Still, I was surprised to see that my current log in streak was at 215 days. I almost missed a few days this weekend since we did not have internet up in Maine where we visited. Fortunately, my sister in law has a smart phone and let me log in for those 3 days.

I forget who it was, but someone commented a few months back that they had made it a few days short of a full year of logging in. With a few days to go, they forgot to log in one weekend and their consecutive log in streak was broken and they had to reset. So with 150 days to go, will I make it to a year? Who knows! Not exactly something to lose sleep over, but one of the many random things that SP keeps track of.

I had a streak of (only) 35 days or so then missed a day... I logged in that day but never clicked on "get my points".. I was so aggravated! Esp since I started in 2012, so my streak was longer than the days in 2013 (yeah, OCD).

I'm on a new streak now... I think at 25 days, and I feel compelled to keep it going.

A year? That rocks.. that'll be my new goal!

My log in streak ended at 205 days when I forgot to spin first thing after loggin in. I did tons of other stuff on SparkPeople - even did the bonus spin, but apparently I forget that first spin (the one that counts). Sigh...

Streaks are fun...you do something for a few days then suddenly it takes on a life of it's own! Now it's a "streak" and you have to keep it going...we humans are funny creatures, aren't we? emoticon

Good for you! I could never do it that long, I am just "out of reach" too much sometimes. (And I like it that way)
Streaks are a great way to stay motivated though aren't they?

I never really cared about login streaks but when I track everything I always get better results... So it does make a difference!

You can do it!

Well done! That's about twice as long as I've managed.

Awesome! I made 10 months before having a brain cramp on a Saturday morning and never logging in.

You are doing great. Life does happen - don't be upset if youiss a log in! It will inevitably happen!

I admit, I logged in every day last year when I was on my cruise, even if I didn't do anything but spin the wheel to keep that streak going. I've logged in almost every day for two years (the 25th will be my sparkversary). The only other streak I've had going for almost that long is my water streak. I drink about 16 glasses on average, so I'm over 600 days of 8+/day. I think it'll be two years for that in early March... I'm not so great about food logging, though!
