Yesterday started out very nice but then hit a major speed bump at work. An ugly email turned my day from jolly and accomplished to sullen and pissy very quick!
I am so very blessed for a hubby who understands me and lets me vent and sees things my way.
I was blessed yesterday evening to spend time chatting with friends who moved a mile and a half away from us. We walked there and jogged most of the way back. It was crisp out, but moving warmed us up.
I was blessed last night when the dog decided to sleep with us. I was a bit cold and she's a big ol' shepherd snuggler. Sandwiched between her and hubby, I got cozy warm very quickly and stayed that way all night.
I was blessed this morning to get lots of love from my kids, and especially for the extra-long hug from my teenage son. I love that he's still affectionate and not embarassed to be hugged or kissed on the cheak by mom.
I'm blessed this morning as I listen to The Spark while plugging away at work.
Today will be a much better day than yesterday. And actually, except for that one speed bump, yesterday was a pretty good day. Funny how a speed bump can overshadow all the good in a day. Actually.......it's not funny at all.
I amended a quote from The Spark and taped it to my monitor. I believe the original quote said "Do not confuse a single defeat with final defeat". It hit home with me. My note is shorter.
Single defeat = final defeat (but the = sign has a slash through it so it means "does NOT equal)
