Motivated by the hospital Biggest Loser weight loss competition, I am finally doing what I know needs to be done...losing weight and exercising. Hopefully when I weigh in Monday it will show I have lost 20 lbs total. Currently 1lb shy of that. My first 5k will be this Sat with my daughter (who has just signed a Cross Country scholarship to a 4 year college). I have been following her and her running career since she was in 6th grade and know the ropes of running pretty well. I know the health benefits of running (and walking) and feel it is in my best interest to 'follow in my daughter's footsteps'! I know it's a little backwards lol. Pretty sure she will be at the front of the pack Sat and I will be at the back however I do not mind. Gotta start somewhere! My total weight loss goal is to lose 43 lbs. If 20 is my loss on Monday I will only have 13 to go. Woohoo!! I've been walking and running trying to get in some sort of shape. I will post sometime the weekend as to whether or not I survived!! Yep I welcome encouragement!!!!
