Time for Some Changes

I've been on SparkPeople for quite some time. I've made some changes in my diet and tried to work in exercise. I had some success with that, and I lost some weight. Then I started on a constant round of illness. I've had pneumonia 3 times in the past 12 months, for example. This has to stop. I have to change what I'm doing that is allowing me to get so rundown, or nature is going to make the change for me. Like many Sparkers, my problem is not food--it's simply manifested in food.

So, I'm looking for a new job and will take one that pays less if necessary to cut my hours and stress.

I have an appointment with a pulmonologist next week to see if we can determine what's causing my breathing problems.

I am making a list of the projects that still need to be done in my massive home remodel and prioritzing them so I can tackle them one at a time or pay someone else to do them. I think having them unfinished is stressing me more than I realize.

I am going to spend some time thinking about what/who is really important in my life and comparing that list to where I put my energy. I don't think the two match up well, and I suspect the mismatch leaves me struggling to cover both when that's impossible.

Let's see what sort of correlation this has to weight loss and whether working through these problems helps me come to grips with my obesity.

    Making a list is a great start. I'm a firm believer in people having guardians - some call it intuition, serendipity, etc. unfortunately many of us pay little or no attention to insight. Go for it gal, Earl emoticon
