The Switch Flipped!

Thursday, February 21, 2013

I followed through with my indoor workout yesterday which made three days in a row for me to log in my 30 minutes per day! Very proud of this because if you look at my past blogs I have whined about my inactivity since last March when I went back to work full time emoticon

The last 21 days have been very good to me. The switch has flipped. For anyone who has lost weight and gained it back, I believe you will understand that sentence.

I have struggled with my weight since my marriage. Between work, school and being a wife at 18, I quickly lost myself in the priorities. Occassionally it has risen to the top and I have 40 ish pounds three times previously only to gain it back. First goes the exercise, then goes the diet and the last to go is the self esteem. And there are always good excuses to back up my actions: new job, new house, new baby, another new baby, school, work and another new job.

I don't want to switch to flip to off again. I am so looking forward to opening up my cedar cabinet and pulling out my trophy skirt from 1990 - a lovely floral denim that I have slipped on here and there in my lifetime. Not to mention, two incredibly amazing dresses that I practically stole (the sale was that good) that are timeless. emoticon My resolve and excitement are building just thinking about those dresses!

Here's to a great Thursday and finishing out the week with more healthy choices! Go get 'em SparkFriends!

Great job! I lost weight a while back and I definitely know what you mean about that switch. Right now I'm working hard to get to that point - made having a baby an excuse to get back to where I started - but I will do it again!

Congratulations!

Isn't it odd that it is so hard to get back on track and when you do you wonder why you couldn't do it before.

Good for you! Those small steps of achieving your nutrition and exercise goals eventually take you where you want to go - a healthier life. Way to go!
