the scale was mean to me this morning. up 1.5 pounds. After eating mostly The Plan for 4 days and getting down to 108.5 yesterday, I am now 110. But I feel good and that is most important to me. Not sure what I reacted to yesterday as I had chicken, sweet potato, chocolate, one beer, and my favorite salad dressing Newman's Low Fat Sesame Ginger dressing. I know the dressing has lots of salt. I love this science experiment. Now instead of me always blaming the over night weight gains on salt I can actually think that they are more food related and a food that my chemistry just doesn't agree with. So I get it! But I didn't do it right and test just one thing.....I went a little nuts as I had lady friends over and that's when I had a beer and one of the gals brought me a small sample box of homemade chocolates from a new shop in the village (I ate two pieces which is good for me as the old me would have eaten the whole box-8pieces)...then for dinner I had 5 ounces of chicken and a medium size sweet potato with the salad dressing. But heck I enjoyed every bite! That has been my only problem with The Plan in that I find I have a hard time eating all the food and enjoying it. I hate some of the foods like beets, chickpeas and not a big fan of broccoli. And you have to eat a ton of that stuff. Oh and the carrot soup gets old too. But I have learned so much and it really has gotten me to do some more research regarding diet and arthritis. I am really going to pay more attention to things now so that I can just feel great. Today we have another cocktail party and then tomorrow begins the Annual Chili Festival here which is a big 3 day party. One of our friends is in the Margarita competition so we will go tomorrow to support him. So lot's of things coming up to thrown things off for a while....the good news is that I know that I have this and will always get back on track. I do hope all my sparks buddies are having a great day.
