Change looming

Thursday, February 21, 2013

I went ahead and got the ovulation tests and I am happy I did, they actually told me I ovulated 2 days before the app on my phone predicted and 2 days after every ovulation calculater I tried predicted. I think it was a useful tool. It wasn't fail proof, the lines weren't as dark on the darkest day as all the instructions I read said. This round kinda got over over shadowed by work related stress. There is always next month. My dance teacher just announced her pregnancy. It all makes sense now why she has been watching her HRM like a hawk. Hopefully it happens in groups and I can be in that group. Just working on being chill and flowing with the go.

There isn't much good about this time of year. One good thing I can find is Cara cara oranges. They have a very short season that you can find them and we are in it! They are sooooo amazingly sweet! Best orange! We are supposed to get 2-4 inches of snow tonight. We have had a really mild winter, it's like the snow if always coming for us and then disappears before it gets here. So it would be interested if we actually get 2-4 inches. I have been meaning to run this week, but the cold is so bitter. I should today, it's gonna be 25. My goal this winter has just been to run 1 three mile route once a week. Just to keep my body up and running. This week was been Chicago Marathon sign up. I am so happy that my husband and his brother are so stressed with jobs that they don't even care lol YAYYYYY we are not going to the Chicago marathon for the 1st time in 4-5 yrs. We are gonna be so much more rich! Registration is up to $175 this yr. They opened it on Tuesday and so many ppl signed up the site crashed and they had to close it with 15,000 spots left they will open when the site is repaired. So 25k spots filled up. They had a bunch of duplicate entries from the site being screwed up. That would suck to get $175 entered twice, it's all fixed now.

Polar posted this article today about woman who lost 212 lbs, pretty amazing!

I'm glad the ovulation strips worked. Hopefully you will have some big news for us on here in the next coming months!

Important to get to know your cycle, and your body. So yay for the strips. YAY too for oranges! And skipping the marathon is probably good too.

The more I think about marathons and half-marathons, the more I think I don't want to do one. I really like tri's better because you can cross-train for them and they seem much less monotonous!

Good luck with those winds of change. ;)

It sounds like you have learned a lot about your ovulation that should help you.

    I love those oranges too.

We have had some near big snow/ice events that fell apart and some that were predicted to be nothing that ended up being a lot. The schools here cancelled at 1 and we are getting mostly ice. No snow.

The snow finally arrived later in the day. LOL.

I can't say that I've ever had a Cara Cara orange. I am hooked on blood oranges right now. Can only find them at Meijer though. Boo.

Glad to hear those strips worked! :) How cool. I am so excited for these next few months for you & Scott.
