Thought and Prayer for Thursday, February 21, 2013

Thursday, February 21, 2013

There are times when we are all over the place. We have too many irons on the fire so to speak and our minds race about getting it all done. That is when we have to intentionally focus and prioritize. We should focus on God asking Him to give us what we need to prioritize. However, soon we get busy and stressed again so we need to focus on God again. And every time that happens, focus on God again. God wants to be and can be our anchor if we put our hope in Him.

Hebrews 6:19 “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we put our hope in You so we will not be stressed. We need You to be our anchor and keep us focused so we can have peace rather than stress. We need You to show us how to focus and prioritize so You can lead us to do Your will. Help us to breath out the stress and breath in all that You are. Allow Your Holy Spirit to breath in us keeping us focused on what You want us to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God wants us to enjoy everything we do. We can’t enjoy what we do if we aren’t doing it for Him.

Knowing that God is loving and caring should be a good reason to allow Him to control our lives. He knows what is best for us.

When we put God first in all we do, we will be less stressed and more focused.

Romans 15:13 “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (NLT)
