Win a Few, Lose a Few!

Thursday, February 21, 2013

I have still had problems with nausea from the two very potent antibiotics I am on for this UTI and URI that I have, and today is the first day in a week that I have even felt like they might be working. I have made sure, as I always do unless otherwise directed, to eat before taking these medicines, but I think all that has done is made me feel like I have something I could bring up if I start to throw up! As a result of this nausea and generally hurting from being so sick, I am not eating too much. I have been sure to get water in and tea when I did not think the water would stay down. But I still have4 more days of one antibiotic and 5 more of the other one. I have given up trying to do any Cardio, because I know I would throw up! I have done some stretches and a few less strenuous exercises today though. I just need to get over all this!

Take it easy and slowly when you begin again. Your body has been thru a lot and needs rest even after you start feeling better. emoticon

Forget the cardio until you are feeling well again. First things, first! There's a reason why antibiotics are prescribed for a full 10 days (usually, at any rate), and that is b/c it usually takes at least that long to get the infection under control and treated. Good luck to you...very good that you are getting fluids in (very important) and taking the meds with food (also very important). The rest will come when you feel well again! Hugs, jeannie

You are healing slowly so continue to take it easy. You will know when it is okay to start walking again and stretching. Take care. Chelsea emoticon emoticon

Cardio is certainly secondary though it's great that you want to do it :-) We have to think of doing first what is important and urgent and that's getting down and keeping down those antibiotics :-) Hang in there and wishing you to get better soon emoticon

One step at a time, one day at a time. Don't stress about things that you have no control over. You can do more exercise when your body is ready, and until then, just take care of yourself. emoticon
