I've always loved Jillian Michael's, I've been following The Biggest Loser this season and I always wanted to be fit and healthy like her. Yesterday I was looking for some podcasts to listen to so that I could stay motivated, I ended up subscribing to her show and was sucked into listening to each episode. I also found that she had a new book released this month, so I dragged my husband and bought the book "Slim for Life". I read through till chapter 3 as soon as I got the book last night and I'm pretty sure that I'll be done this book by the end of the week. I'm looking into her other books and can't wait to get them one I'm done with this one. I've been taking some notes from each section of the book and I've found that it's really helping me in understanding what changes I need to make. I love how she's so straight forward. Reading this book has made me also want to switch to clean eating, I want to start buying more organic products. I took my husband and sister to this orgranic market over the weekend and we tried some things and realized how much better it tasted and the good effects it will have on our body.
I had a heart to heart with my husband today and told him exactly how I feel when he makes comments about my body and comparing. He apologized and told him that he's going to try his best to stop and he didn't mean to hurt me. He thought it would encourage me to work hard towards a healthier lifestyle. It made me realize that everyone who has been making negative comments towards me might be thinking the same that it will motivate me. I explained to him how it breaks down my self esteem and that I need his support through encouraging me in other ways. It's a work in progress, but I'm glad that he finally understands a little.
Overall I think this a really good start to my journey towards being healthy. & Jillian is going to make me work harder and meet my goal!
