I didn't want to work out today. I had to work late, had a late appointment, I was hungry, sore from Monday's workout and tired. I had pretty much already talked myself out of it until my daughter informed me that we *had* to go to the Y because she failed her "pacer" test in PE today. I don't know what passing looked like, but she was pretty sure that 10 laps up and down the basketball court wasn't enough. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have gone in tonight. As it was, we didn't get home until after 9:00PM, but I am so glad I exercised. I never regret doing it. I did my full weight circuit (3 sets of 8 exercises, upper, lower and core), plus 30 minutes of cardio and a good stretch afterward. Emma did a great job too. She did her weights, the bike and the treadmill. She really wants to get fit, and I am so proud of her.
The foot is healing as well. I am wearing my night brace, but I am not running until I have been pain-free for a month. That's what the doctor orders, so I'm sticking to the plan. The stretching and cross training is helping the pain, as well as making me stronger, more flexible and giving me greater endurance. Go me!
