It has been a long day. I had to go to Purdin today to pick up my daughter, her husband, and my oldest granddaughter. Their car is broken down right now. Ugh! I hate having to ride that far in one day. My back and neck do not like me that much for doing so! Oh, well, if I only did what my body liked, I would hibernate! I am NOT about to do that.
Now, tomorrow, I have to take them back. Thank goodness my granddaughter's appointment is early tomorrow in Columbia. Hopefully, they will get in and out fairly quickly, as I have to take them back to Purdin tomorrow as well. I do not like the thought of having to travel in the storm that is supposed to come in.
If my granddaughter misses school, then she has to stay after school, hour for hour, for any time she misses of school. Any time missed has to all be made up by the end of the year. If it is not made up, then she has to go to summer school. I guess this is even if she misses for a doctor's appointment. The time for the doctor's appointment is excused, but not always the travel time. They live up north in Purdin, but most of her doctors are in Columbia. That is ridiculous! How is she supposed to get to her appointment without actually traveling there? We don't have teleportation.
Teleportation would be nice if we had it. It would save a lot on vehicles and gasoline! LOL Where are the flying cars we were supposed to have by the time the 1980's came? I remember reading about those in our Weekly Reader when I was in school! We were supposed be flying around like the Jetsons by now! Wouldn't that be nice? Think of all the money the government would save on roads, bridges, and the like! Shoot, didn't Jane Jetson have a thing she stepped in if she gained weight and it sweat it right off her? Hey, I would go for one of those! LOL
It is time to go. I am rattling on.
Everyone have a great day tomorrow. If you are in the way of the storm front, stay safe and stay warm. God Bless!
