Tomorrow I cook.

Have you ever heard of Restless Leg Syndrome? I call it Restless Limb Syndrome because it also affects arms too. When I first heard of it I thought it was some newly defined ailment to fulfill a need for some new remedy, read "pill," that had been invented. It turns out it was first written about early in the 19th century.

The weird thing about it is that as I begin to relax, my legs do exactly the opposite. Last night I felt like I was running in place while I was laying down. I have a medication for it, but sometimes it simply doesn't work. Last night was just that night. Around two o'clock I took a second pill. Doctor says it's ok and safe, but there are consequences. The pill makes me sleepy even if t doesn't calm my legs. The second knocks me out in a few minutes.

You would think that was a good thing. I get to sleep. I sleep soundly and I sleep long. Last night I got a full eight hours. A rarity for me. But. when I wake I am totally dehydrated and I have a splitting headache ... probably from the dehydration. I downed a half gallon of water as soon as I got to the sink. All that water relieved my head ache.

But that kind of dehydration must be bad for you.

Even so. Sleeping so late ... 10:00 AM ... and waking with a bad headache, I still got a good day work done. I installed new electric, a dedicated circuit for the dishwasher (why was that never done before?), I ran speaker wires to the kitchen (hey, all work and no play ... gotta dance when I'm cooking right?), and just so I can cook I finally, after two weeks, got my new stove installed. Hooray!

Tomorrow I cook. I am getting so tired of canned soups and sandwiches for dinner.

I would think waking that dehydrated would not be good for you. It is good that you reconginze it and down that water. I hope you find more relief for this. Good luck on your marathon training, wishing you could just tire those legs out....to bad it didn't work that way. Enjoy the stove.

Sometimes I get restless legs when I'm very very tired and need to stay awake.

And that cooker is epic. I am jealous!

My DD has restless leg syndrome, she doesn't take anything for it, she also sleeps very little and is always a bit stressed, is it all related? She is really fit, hummmm. anyways sounds like you have lots on your plate these days, slow down when you can and enjoy the peaceful surroundings around you.
