school project

My daughter has a school project due Tuesday and she has been working really hard on it everyday. Problem is they were assigned partners, and her partner is suppose to be doing his part of the project, only today he missed school due to being "sick" and tomorrow he is leaving on a trip to New York and will not return until Monday...My daughter texted him asking how his part of the project is going and got back....nothing at all....My daughter is very bright and when she does something for school she puts her ALL into it so I am concerned....She says not to worry because the teacher is aware of her partners past history with work (whatever that means) and as long as her part of the project can stand for itself she will be fine....We will see...

    I hope your daughter doesn't let this bad partner experience jade her. I had too many where my partner expected me to do it all that I eventually avoided partner situations all together. Sounds like the teacher knows the partner is pretty useless and isn't going to count his lack of work ethic against your daughter.

    I think your daughter has a really good head on her shoulders and her as well as her project will be just fine despite partner's lack of input. It is certainly not right that her partner isn't living up to his part of the bargain but unfortunately there are a lot of people just like him in this world. Your daughter will learn a lot from this scenario and be much better for it. emoticon and emoticon to your daughter. Be proud of her!!

    kind of a life lesson~ we get hooked up with all kinds of people through work, school, clubs etc..we teach our kids to work hard, get along and do their own part well. Sometimes we can count on the people, sometimes not and we definitely learn from our experiences with both kinds. Your daughter sounds like a wonderful child, with a strong work ethic and a good head on her shoulders. She knows how to get her bases covered and through this project hopefully sonme of her strengths have rubbed off on the other child. Maybe the teacher even knew of the upcoming New york trip and realized that your daughter could handle shouldering most of the project ( not fair but true) I'm sure whatever your daughter turns in will stand well on its own
