I won't let the stress of all this get to me

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Well, it's been just about 2 full months now. Have I done well? Yes! Have I been perfect? no!
Has it been stressful? Of course! After all, there are so many emotional reasons we may overeat that when we stop that behavior, we have to deal with a certain amount of stress. Will exercise take care of that? Perhaps ... At least some. Writing helps too and other artistic endeavors surely can take the tension away to a certain degree. We just have to deal with It somehow and I imagine before long, we will be so used to not dealing with different types of stress by overeating that it will be "a piece of cake"!
Was that meant to be a food analogy ? :)

HAHA i did love your food analogy whether you meant it or not.

You show a lot of reflecting and I think thats healthy. Writing is a good stress relief for me too. Just the TITLE of your blog, is very strongwilled and positive. I love it!

Good luck with everyone that comes up.

    I'm rooting for ya!

aaa... all those food analogies are making me hungry!!!

Anyway, I heard something similar once..

A piece of cake has never given me a hug, loved me, and patted me on the back.
    Fudge is not friendship..

But that is eating out of loneliness, not stress..
Anyway, Spark helps me out of the loneliness

Piece of cake, pie a la mode, a crunchy triscuit, doesn't matter, we GET it!! Whichever pun you use, we eventually learn that our stress is not fixed by eating anything. It takes other efforts to fix the source of the stress. The food is just an easy, quick, temporary fix. The problems are still there, compounded by the health problems we create.

Doesn't make getting to the bottom of it all any easier.
