Over the Hump Day

So it's Wednesday and yesterday and today Elijah and I went outside for a walk. It was nice to be outside in the sunshine. Not to crazy about it not being in the 60s but it's not raining. Elijah was up at 5am today because he was cold. I had turned off the furnace yesterday because it was getting to warm in the apartment. I had cracked the window in the dining room and that usually cools down the living room and dining room. I forgot to turn on the furnace before bedtime last night. Elijah didn't fall back asleep after he came into my room and I ended up kicking him out because he was starting to whine. I was hoping he would take an early nap around noon so he could be up by 3 and I could still get him to fall asleep before 9. But he didn't fall asleep until after 2. We went outside about noon and he played in the sandbox for a while and then we went to the truck stop. Then we went to his favorite spot in the complex with his shovel. He loves to dig in the dirt under the big tree that's not very far from our apartment. Once it started getting cooler outside we would spend an hour in that spot. He would bring either his dinosaurs or his construction equipment. It was all cool. I got to sit down and enjoy the cooler warm weather and the sunshine and the fresh air and he was in one spot playing with dirt. He had his shovel today and he had some dirt in it and he tossed it back and it hit the truck and I told him if he threw dirt and hit the truck again we were going inside and so a few minutes later he throws dirt and it hits the truck. So I take his shovel and his sword and he starts having a tantrum. So I told him he wasn't listening to me and it was time to go in. I had my hands full so I couldn't pick him up and carry him 50 feet to the apartment. I took him by the arm and stood him up a couple of times and told him to walk home. He's crying on the way home and he says he wants to listen and I say that I know he does but he doesn't actually listen. He listens when he wants to. There are times I just want to buy him some hearing aids. I came up with the idea of making like a child friendly treadmill in like a basket ball theme and use his energy for like electricity. Creative way to burn off his energy. I would love to have a treadmill of my own. I would use it a lot if I had one in the apartment. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Just something I could use while Elijah is watch tv or sleeping. I could get up early in the morning if Elijah hasn't already. I am not going to use it when mom's in the room because the last thing I need is for her to tell me how to exercise. I don't use the wii fit plus in front of her because she was telling me how to exercise. She told me she was ready to start exercising in the fitness center. The fitness center is closed and I have lost 6 pounds. I get off my ass and walk around the complex and I do crunches and I do leg lifts. I don't eat cheetos or cheese puffs like she does. I'm not saying I'm perfect. She'll come home from work and sit and read. She'll go on the computer. On the weekends she doesn't come outside and walk with me and Elijah. She sits on the weekends and reads and plays on the computer. Yes I go on the computer but I am also exercising and watching what I eat. She complains that her clothes are getting too small. Eat some more cheetos or cheese puffs mom. That'll help take off the weight and don't exercise either. Elijah has bundles of energy she can take him for a walk around the complex and I'll gladly take a nap. Well I am going to go get my son up from his nap.
