Thanks, everyone, for all of the tips on language learning. I also am learning the language of my posture now. T-Tapp, from Teresa Tapp's book and the SparkPeople Team, have helped so much. I finally am finding the upper-back muscles that support my neck enough that my neck does not constantly get out of joint, freeze-up, hurt, .... I just need to learn to keep those muscles engaged all day and most of the night, it seems. Sometimes, it helps to take one shoe off and just walk around with only the shoe on my shorter leg, though I wear the prescribed insert all of the time.
It still seems that the insert is not high enough; when the x-ray of my whole legs was taken, the technitians had me in a trough and took the scan three times!!!! I was ready to go hit someone! I think they did not get th e "bed" on the machine, and so they just tried to get the measurement difference right--and failed. I am getting a bit better, though, finding the posture muscles I never could use while growing up.
