the end to my insomnia???

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Holy Cow! I took the extra trazodone like the doctor told me to last night and I practically slept all day today! I had brief awakenings but got some rock solid sleep. I will have to experiment some because the doctor said it will take me some time to get used to the extra medication. I may go down to half an extra pill because I finally feel fully awake now and it is 4pm! Yikes! Or maybe it was all the lack of sleep finally catching up to me and I had one full night and most of the day of sleep. Thank God for the good sleep as I feel much better now.

I use that medication as well. Though I have other medications as well that make me sleepy. I find that only a very small dose is necessary for me as I also take 3mg of melatonin nightly and also anti-anxiety medication. I have an outline for a sleep journal yet I have not been using it. I probably could benefit from that practice. I hope you continue to get good rest. I know with fibromyalgia it is very difficult to get a good night's rest. I ask now that God would bless you with His peace and that you may sleep calmly and restfully.

Peace be with you!!!
Your friend, Karen S.

I must have had my head under a rock to miss that you have been going through this! You hung in there with me when I wasn't sleeping, so you know I appreciate what you feel like. I'm glad you finally got a good night's sleep and certainly hope it continues. Take care my SparkFriend!

I'm so glad you found something that helps. My husband takes Trazadone for his restless leg/ not sleeping. He do have to cut off time to take it or finds himself to sleepy to function. Sweet dreams emoticon

I have some trazadone but never tried it. Last night would have been the night. I usually just have bad dreams but last night i was wide awake with the dog at 2 am. Glad you are rested. You will find your balance :)
