Every time I put a fork in my mouth, I need to pause and ask myself if I'm really hungry. If so, enjoy what I'm eating."
I heard this today on Spark Radio. What a great thing for me to remember...am I really hungry...or am I just bored. I've struggled with this for a long time and usually end up eating everything I shouldn't. It's a big reason for my weight gain.
I can honestly say since starting SparkPeople, I've been conscious of what I'm eating and of all the calories I'm taking in. But even with this positive step, I'm not sure if I am really pausing to make sure how hungry I really am before I eat. Often, I"m just bored or nervous.
This is going to be one of my goals this week...to stop and gauge how hungry I really am before I take a bite!
