I am so out of it

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

I know I want more for my life.

But nothing seems really possible or even worth the effort to try to accomplish.

I have totally undone all of my previous successes.

I am most definitely struggling. In all areas of my life. Maybe this means I'm depressed and I need to seek help?

I'm really struggling to get back in the game and get back on track. My life seems so contrary to what I really want for myself right now.

How do you find motivation when you feel like you're scraping the bottom of the barrel?

I would at the very least try counseling to see if it helps you. If that doesn't work, I would try other inexpensive forms of self-therapy like journaling, art, music, or try new/different sports and hobbies. It may turn out you need a combination of several things to help you cope. I am still figuring out ways to cope with my stress/depression/anxiety, but I have found that art and journaling have helped me the most. It gets better as long as you keep yourself accountable for finding ways to cope and don't let it overwhelm you or your life. Don't forget that you're always in charge, and it's nothing but a little punk trying to beat you down.

I am sorry to hear that you are still struggling, but I'm glad you are back! emoticon

You may very well be suffering depression. Have you talked to your doctor? Thyroid issues can also do this. They can do a simple blood test to see your thyroid functions and see if that can be causing you trouble.

It can be SO hard to stay motivated when the issues pile up. Try to tackle one thing today. Just one thing. Maybe make today the day that you go for a walk around the block instead of watching tv after dinner. Or maybe today is the day you clean the bathroom. Or maybe today is simply the day you call a friend to talk.

I wish you well. You can do this!
