Fitness tests aren't just for school kids!!!

I was really encouraged by this last week's "Biggest Loser" program! It had a challenge with the three obese young people to see if they could beat their fitness scores from their first test 8 weeks ago. Those kids were awesome! It was obvious they had been working and really doing their best to get into better shape! It made me stop and think about myself and my progress. Have I really been trying, or am I leaving it up to chance? I think it's obvious I've been giving my fitness a lick and a promise and going nowwhere real fast! So my goal is to spend this next 5% challenge working hard on my fitness. I will take the test (according to SP) at the beginning of the challenge and then compare my results at the end of the challenge. I plan on having someone with me to clock me, and I will do my best. If there are things I cannot accomplish, I will just have to find something to replace it that fits my needs, I look forward to this, really I do, so why am I shaking?

    You can do this. You are shaking because it's taking you out of your comfort zone. That's where all the good things in life happen.

    Fitness tests tell us how we are doing and things that we need to work on. Let us know how you did on the test so we know how we can encourage you. I love your positive attitude.

    Great blog; I kinda shy away from the fitness test and I guess that's not very constructive.

    What a great idea. I have a couple things that I regularly test myself with, and just like progress pictures, it does help to see how far you've come.

    Take inspiration wherever you find it! Now you're motivated and will do an awesome job. Shaking? Sounds like a bit of insecurity. I know you can do it. You need to KNOW it, too! You go, girl!

    Great conviction !! Way to go !! Why shaking? For me, I've been so excited about my 5 % challenge since I joined the challenge and got bit nerves about it of thinking of how will my result.? and my performance will be ? And got little pressure about it. But I now, decided to put together all my courage and will power to go ahead to challenge my 5 % challenge. (*^^*)

    we often have issues when we are accountable to more than just ourselves for an activity. I know you will do well and be the star student, Head of the class on the 5% challenge.

    I've done fitness testing before using insanity (the dvd set). It was pretty cool to see how only a few short weeks could cause some major changes in my fitness level even when the scale didn't budge. It helps keep you motivated even if everything else seems to be staying the same :) Plus, it's a workout in itself! Good luck!
