The Best Laid Plans

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Its taken a week and a half. I'm sort of surprised, really that it lasted nearly two weeks. I've laid out my plans and stuck to them with very little interruption, change or derailment. But it struck today. My daughter's doc appointment had to be moved from today until Friday afternoon. I had planned on running 3 miles tonight (weather permitting) and hitting the road Friday for a 4.5 mile run from my office to my house after work. I REALLY need to get my mileage up for the 10K race I have in 3 weeks or I am doomed! Well that plan is a no go. The appointment is really important and we've already waited for over a week to get into the doctor to begin with. So, what I really need is a plan B. Life in general needs a Plan B.....heck, sometimes you even need a Plan C. I refuse to let myself get derailed!

We make so many sacrifices for our children, don't we?

I hope your little one is okay and that Friday goes well without any hiccups.

Don't let yourself get too discouraged, you can still run tonight! It sounds like that plan hasn't been messed with, right?

Read your last blog for motivation, and get moving! There's no reason why Plan B (or C, or W for that matter!) can't be just as effective.
