Got to run

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Just a quick one, I'm meeting my friend to watch Les Mis for her birthday.

Today I picked up my slow cooker (it's bigger than I expected!) and I'm sooooo excited I don't know where to start. I know I want to try it tomorrow so i can just come home from work and eat without having to work some more at preparing something. But I don't know what to make! Two people have suggested chicken so far so I reckon that's what I'll go for. EEEEH! Excited.

Tomorrow my Fitbit should also arrive. EVEN MORE EXCITED! Although all my other fitness equipment will not be here until I'm in China, possibly after we get back. Sigh.

Made curry tonight. Cabbage goes surprisingly well in it.

Anyway, better run.

This is one of my favorite resources for crockpot cooking:>
I've even made homemade yogurt (following her recipe) in the crockpot before!

I dunno why it's adding the R and carrot symbol at the end of the link. It won't go away! The link ends after the .com/

Carrots, potatoes, beef roast, Mix 1 pkg. of Liptons onion mushroom soup mix with water pour over all and cook. Delicious

The slow cooker, is it round or oval-shaped? With oval, you could "roast" a whole chicken and use the meat in sandwiches, salads, or soups. With round, you could do chicken legs. I like the "Sticky Chicken" recipe on SparkRecipes:

Pinto or kidney beans are great in the slow cooker.
