Getting ready to turn 50 has been quite a time of introspection for me. I had a realization while driving to work the other day. The hormonal changes that happen to a woman and what we lack in estrogen we make up in heart. This change has softened me and I find a new sensitivity to all things. I realize that I don't categorize myself as a woman now - I choose to be a human being. I see with new eyes the needs of others. It takes my mind off of myself. I aspire to be the best human being I can be. To live each day well.
