Girl Scout

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

The beginning of the school year my 6 year old come home with a girl scout registration form. She says,'Mommy please please may I be a girl scout?" so I said yes. Cookie time is here and WE signed up. She sold several boxes to teachers at her school and members of our church. I decided to get extra boxes so she could get the second prize plus she had done a great job of selling so many on her own. Needless to say, that was a bad idea. Out of the 15 extra boxes I purchased I've sold 6. That's not including the 4 boxes I bought for the house. The bright idea I came up with was, leave the cookies in the car. Every night since I picked up the cookies, I've skipped out to the car and got a box. Then I wake up every morning feeling like crap. i was doing so well and then made the mistake of eating ANY of the cookies. It's so easy to get in but hard to get out, for ME. Forward and Onward I go!

I needed to say this out loud to hold myself accountable for the choices I make that affects me. I CAN do so much better than that. Thank you ALL for listening. LETS emoticon emoticon emoticon

I can almost hear those cookies talking to me. Glad that my granddaughters are NOT selling them this year. Stay strong my friend!

I know exactly what you are talking about! They just suck you in, don't they-- the cookies and the sweet little girls selling them. :)
You can resist them!! I'm rooting for you!!
BTW- We've already eaten our five boxes that we bought from friends. Thankfully, my husband and children ate the majority, and I only had a few.
