I am beginning to see the light. For a few years now I had been hoping to have one of my blogs voted a featured blog. Yes, I have been knocking about SparkPeople since June 15, 2010.
I have had an epiphany! And no, it is not painful.
I finally realized that I am doing SparkPeople for me and no one else.
I really must remember:
A positive attitude may not solve everything but it makes for a pleasant experience.
In one of my favorite movies, Meatballs, Bill Murray is a camp counselor trying to convince his summer camp of misfits that they can win the summer camp lake Olympics against a rival camp full of preppy campers. Bill Murray character has a pre-competition camp rally where he convinces all to go out and compete and whether they win or lose, “Just doesn’t matter”. He leads them in the chant, “It just doesn’t matter!”
The size of any issue I am facing, such as going from today’s weight of 297 pounds to 180 pounds just doesn’t matter. David slew Goliath! I will do this! Anything else just doesn’t matter!
My streak of exercising and posting my weight on SparkPeople is at 10 days!
I am feeling better and sleeping better!
I had reverted to my weight gaining ways from the beginning of December 2012 until the beginning of my current streak. Being committed to my streak of exercising and posting my weight on SparkPeople, is helping me.
Anything else JUST DOESN”T MATTER!
I’m learning, experiencing personal growth and am shocked!
