Walking to Loose

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

OK so my sister talked me into signing up for a 5K, I really have no idea what I was thinking, I think I was clinically insane when I filled out the form online. Anyway It's on May 25th so I have a few months to really get my butt in shape. I'm thinking this is going to be just the push I needed to really buckle down and get in gear.
So today I did 46 minutes on the treadmill and I did about 2.25 miles, I think that's a pretty good start, I would love to jog at least some of this 5K but it's not a requirement, it's more of a "fun run" than anything. But I would like to be able to do it in an hour or less. I think that should be an attainable goal.
So far so good this week, I had the stomach flu this past weekend so I didn't eat much, and every day I stepped on the scale it kept going down, as soon as I got back to eating solid food, it went right back up, and it's so frustrating because I didn't go over my calories for the day, I feel like the only way my body looses weight is if I barely eat anything and have to exercise, as soon as I stop the workouts, my weight goes right back up. But I'm going to keep staying in my calorie range and work out 45 minutes to 1 hour a day, and see where I am in a month.

You can do it, actually signing up for the 5k is great motivation in itself. Great attitude as well! :)
