I love to watch movies. I have so many favorites I could hardly choose just one - or ten. The other night I was enjoying watching some movies with my honey and found a reference to President's Day in Coraline - yep, they were having a sale on school uniforms in this movie and we just happened to be watching it on President's day - so now it is our President's Day Holiday movie. I don't know if anyone else has a tradition like we do - we have certain movies that we watch corresponding to certain holidays. Like Groundhog Day...on, well, you can figure that one out.
Some movies are just feel good movies like Mama Mia or Music and Lyrics or Hairspray (new version, not the Riki Lake version) and can be watched anytime.
But, with a new healthier lifestyle it seems like too much sitting around. Apparently other people think so too - that is why one woman took movie watching healthier level by combining it with a marathon. That's right, a marathon of movies and a marathon of walking on the treadmill. She did the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy while walking. I find the idea inspiring. Anyway, I am rambling today. We are bracing for a winter storm so I got all the groceries we might need for the immediate future and mom is doing her shopping today to beat that storm. My mom's computer has been in the shop so she is going to get it back today and I bet that will make her happy (if somewhat less productive than she has been without it). I am in the same boat - too much computer time and not enough productive time, so I'm one to talk.

  I love to watch movies! But, I need the treadmill, one set to slow though! LOL Knees won't take the high speed! If only!

Thanks for the tip you left on my blog, but in my case that won't work! I wish it was that simple! If only!!!!! With Vitamin D deficiency---it will NOT allow my body to lose the weight! First it caused me to gain weight---a sudden, unaccountable weight gain--which sent me searching for a cause. After doing much research, I found that my symptoms matched that of Vitamin D deficiency. I talked to my doctor about it. He did the blood tests, and YEP! First was discovering the reason, now, I have to find a way to overcome the deficiency in order to begin to start losing the weight again! I take a high dose of Vitamin D, but so far, I am still waiting. Thanks for trying to help though. I really appreciate! Henrietta

    Love that idea!! My husband and I love movies too, so we do spend entirely too much time on our butts.

    I tend to lay on my bed or the couch when I take time to watch a movie -- maybe the treadmill marathon is a challenge I should take up!

    Sounds like an interesting way to watch a movie. They did walk quite a bit in the movie, so why would we sit and watch them run?
