Over It!

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

I recently started seeing a personal trainer. A friend of mine has been going to see him for a while now. I loved it, every minute of it! We were doing weights and kettle bells swings, things that I had never done before. I loved it. I had only been to see him 4 times.
Then I one night I checked in with him about meeting the next day and he sent me a text saying that I wasn't ready to make real change. Told me that since I said "Paleo makes me depressed" that I wasn't ready. I have been feeling badly about it for the past week. I didn't know that I had to eat Paleo in order for him to work with me. Maybe that wasn't even the issue.
Isn't a personal trainer suppose to reach you from where you are at? Isn't a personal trainer suppose to reach out to you and bring you up?

Oh geez. I'm sorry that happened. It stinks, but it sounds like you're much better off if he is that kind of person. Hopefully you can find the right trainer for you - don't let this one sour you on the whole idea/process.
