Six pounds down

I started this weight loss/heathier me journey shortly before christmas and in that time, through eating better and trying to move every day, I've lost a little over 6 pounds. I've also lost more than 2% body fat and gained muscle! I'm excited about this for many reasons. I mean, duh, losing weight's half the point right? But also because I'm not doing some crazy elimination diet, I'm not swallowing pills, I'm not starving myself and I'm not working out 100 hours a day. I feel like I'm doing it the right way. I'm eating smarter, smaller portions, better choices. And I'm trying to exercise nearly every day. Even if I don't feel like working out, I'll go walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes just so I can log some calories burned for the day.
THIS is the right way for me. THIS is the smart way that's going to make the most difference over the longest period of time and THIS is what's going to make the difference between getting rid of the weight and getting healthy for good versus trying it on for size but gaining all the weight back.
THIS is where the new me starts!!! And I LOVE it!
