After almost of week and a half of nothing....finally! I've broken the double digits barrier! I'm at -11 lbs!! I gained another hole in my belt loop too. It's amazing to see how wide my pants used to be. I use that to track how much I've really lost. I notice my neck and belly seem to be a bit smaller, but I've still got a long way to go.
I'm surprised at how helpful the nutrition tracker is on here. I've tried the app before on my phone, but I never liked it. It felt restrictive and it was hard to find items to add. I would make something homemade (whole wheat dinner rolls) and I would have to add all the ingredients which is a pain on a phone. But here, most of that stuff is listed for you or close enough. But the most important part is, it has really opened my eyes to the amount of calories in food. When I'm bored or stressed, I don't want to eat something because I know I'll have to add it to the tracker. It doesn't seem worth it to me.
A few months ago, when I would get home from work, the first thing I would do is go in the fridge and eat something. I was stressed, I wanted comfort. Now, the first thing I do is turn on my computer, sign in to sparkpeople and log my food. It helps remind me to watch myself when I'm at home.
So far, so good. Yay for small victories!
