Spark Coach assignment: Journal or blog about an area of your lifestyle that needs moderation. What can you do to change your attitude--and future outcomes?
I could be in total denial here, but I believe I live a life of moderation. I don't tend to go to extremes (at either end) in any area that I can think of.
I try to monitor this because I have an addictive personality, and it is SO easy for me to become obsessed with an action, activity, thing, person, whatever--to the point that it's all I think about. I've worked too hard to overcome this tendency and stay on top of it so I can keep it in check.
Right now the only thing that is out of balance in my life is my sleep! Well, I still get 7 - 8 hours of sleep per night but that's because I go to bed at 2 am and get up at 9 or 10 am. This has only happened since the layoff and then subsequent retirement, but I'd like it better if I could become a "get up at 5 am" person, do my Bible study/devotions, workout, eat breakfast and then face my day. Of course, then, I'd have to go to bed by 9 PM...and I just don't see that happening.
So for now I'm thankful for a moderate life with no pesky little addictions raising their ugly heads.
