walking clears my head

It is a beautiful day outside, though still cool, but just so nice to get out and walk in it.
I left later than usual because I was trying to figure out where I left my ipod as I wanted to listen to one of my favorite podcasts while I did my walk.

Went out the door without it. This is Day 9 of consecutive walking for 30 minutes or more. Today I did a brisk 47 minutes. Each day when I get out there, I am conquering my inclination to stay at home and do other things, so I feel like I have achieved good things when I overcome my weakness.

When I walk, it clears my head, increases my oxygen to the brain, Lol, and my body overall feels better. Problems I was dwelling on seem to disappear as I make my way on my route. I am distracted by the spring birds chirping and singing. I notice the buds forming on the trees and marvel at the color of the early crocus in bloom. The sky is fairly clear today of clouds and the sunshine is wonderful...

So many benefits to this walking effort and walking streak! It is giving me a positive lift, making me think of what other areas I might have a Postive streak on! emoticon emoticon
